This racing version of the McLaren F1, entered in the 1995 Le Mans by the Tokyo Ueno Clinic Team, was only slightly modified from the standard road-going version. The car won the epic endurance race at its first attempt, with the team of JJ Lehto, Yanick Dalmas and Masanori Sekiya sharing the victory, driving through 16 out of the 24 hours in almost torrential rain. The race represented several significant firsts, with McLaren winning Le Mans at its first attempt and it was the first Le Mans win for a Japanese and indeed a Finnish driver!
This magnificent and very finely detailed 1/8 Scale Model surely is a must for any collector of Motorsport history.
