Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Nuvolari

The Monaco Grand Prix, 17th of April 1932. Tazio Nuvolari takes victory with the Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Monza.  This deeply detailed Amalgam model, in beautiful Italian blood red livery carrying Nuvolari’s race number 28, is a breathtakingly beautiful evocation of the golden pre-war era in Grand Prix racing.  Using contemporary photographs and digital scan data Amalgam has perfectly re-created this fine example of Italian engineering artistry including every minute detail of the engine bay.  At 1:8 scale this hand built model is around 60 cms (2 feet) long and is displayed on a black leather base with a plaque verifying its unique number in this limited edition of 199 models.

This fine 1:8 scale model of the Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 has been handcrafted and finished in our workshops with the co-operation and assistance of Alfa Romeo regarding original finishes, materials, archive imagery and drawings.  The use of supremely accurate digital scanning of the original car has allowed us to perfectly recreate every detail at scale. Furthermore, it has undergone detailed scrutiny by both engineering and design teams to ensure complete accuracy of representation.
