Nestled between the towns of Le Mans and Mulsanne in Northern France, the 24 Hours of Le Mans stands as the world’s oldest active sports car endurance race. First held on May 26-27, 1923, under the name "Grand Prix of Endurance and Efficiency," the race originally served as a testing ground for automakers to showcase their vehicles’ durability in rigorous competition. Over the decades, it has transformed into a strategic and exhilarating contest—where speed, teamwork, and driving skill are just as vital as technological innovation and car reliability.

Often called the ‘Motorsport Super Bowl,’ Le Mans has a straightforward goal: the car that covers the greatest distance in 24 hours is crowned the winner. Alongside the Indy 500 and the Monaco Grand Prix, it completes the prestigious Triple Crown of Motorsport—an accolade fiercely sought after by racing drivers worldwide. Today, the 24 Hours of Le Mans is part of the FIA World Endurance Championship, drawing over 325,000 spectators trackside and reaching an audience of 113 million viewers globally last year alone.
