Amalgam at the Indy 500

The Greatest Spectacle in Racing

One of the biggest motorsport events of the year fast approaches, with the Indy 500 race this Sunday. A field of 33 cars will battle it out at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, going wheel to wheel at over 230mph in a bid to win the 107th edition of America's most famous race. Some say winning the Indy 500 is as significant as, if not more than, winning the NTT INDYCAR SERIES title, which only underlines how important success in the 500-mile race is. Our CEO Ben Street, Director of Brand Sandy Copeman and US Agent Paul Pigman will be representing Amalgam at the Brickyard this coming weekend, as we continue to develop our relationships within the INDYCAR community.

 Arrow McLaren SP

Models at 1:8 Scale

Tailor-made service for fans, teams & sponsors

Our collaboration with the NTT INDYCAR SERIES began a couple of years ago, leading to the development and launch of the Dallara IR-12 Chassis with Dallara IR-18 Aero Kit in the 2022 NTT INDYCAR SERIES livery at 1:8 scale the last year. This was soon followed by team liveried models, crafted especially for Arrow McLaren SP, and our first limited edition team model, of Pato O'Ward‘s Arrow McLaren SP as raced to victory at the 2022 Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama. We fully expect this to be the first of many teams that will collaborate with us as we continue to establish our presence amongst the series. Contact us now to explore our tailor-made service for fans, drivers, teams and sponsors.

Lotus 38

Lotus 38

Jim Clark's 1965 Indy 500 Winner

Designed by Colin Chapman and Len Terry, the Lotus 38 was built to win the Indianapolis 500, and most notable for its offset suspension. The 38 became the spearhead of the “British Invasion” of American racing as it became the first mid-engine car to win the Indy 500 in the hands of Scotsman Jim Clark. Clark would qualify second but utterly dominate the race, leading 190 of the 200 laps, to become the first non-American winner of the Indy 500 since 1916. He would later go on to win the 1965 Formula 1 World Championship as well, despite skipping the Monaco Grand Prix to compete at The Brickyard. He remains the only driver in history to win the Indy 500 and Formula 1 World Championship in the same year.
