Amalgam's Ferrari 250 GTO Collection

The 250 GTO was the car that encapsulated Ferrari’s philosophy best: achieving the highest level of performance and styling. Its famed charisma comes not only from its innumerable racing victories, but from the unique sum of its parts. A 2,953cc Columbo V12 engine, coupled to a new 5-speed gearbox, with a Sergio Scaglietti designed body, mounted onto a 250 GT chassis; the 250 GTO represented the pinnacle of 250 GT development in competition form, whilst remaining a legitimate road car.

At 1:8 Scale

Ferrari 250 GTO collection

We first developed the 250 GTO at 1:8 scale back in 2011, after scanning chassis 3987GT during "L'Art de l'Automobile" at Musée des Arts Decoratifs in Paris. The breathtaking exhibition showcased 17 of Ralph Lauren’s most prized vintage cars, including the 21st of the 32 Series 1 250 GTOs built, which has been in Mr Lauren's possession since 1975. Our limited edition of 250 GTO models at 1:8 scale is based on the car first unveiled at a Maranello Press Conference in February 1962, and is restricted to just 199 pieces. A small batch of models is currently in our workshop build schedule, so register your interest now to reserve one of these models.

We also offer a limited edition race version of the 250 GTO: chassis 3943GT, as raced at the 1963 Nürburgring 1000km with Pierre Noblet and Jean Guichet at the wheel. Produced in late 1962, 3943GT was purchased by French steel industrialist and renowned racer Noblet. Finished in red with a French tricolore stripe, the 3943GT contested with considerable success. A debut at the 1962 Nürburgring 1000km heralded a class victory, finishing second to a Ferrari 250 P in the hands of Surtees and Mairesse.

At 1:18 Scale

Ferrari 250 GTO collection

The love and admiration for the 250 GTO is universal and it shows: it has long been the model most favoured by you, our community, at 1:18 scale. Our model is based on chassis 3705GT, exactly as raced at the 24 Hours of Le Mans on the 23rd and 24th of June 1962 by Pierre Noblet and Jean Guichet, The #19 car finished second on the overall podium, only five laps behind the outright winners, winning the GT class by a comfortable twelve lap margin. Our 1:18 scale model of 3705GT is available to purchase online.

Noblet and Guichet’s victory sealed class victory for the Scuderia in the 1962 International Championship of Manufacturers for Ferrari after five consecutive victories for the marque in just five races. Such was the importance of this car, that we were delighted to introduce a special race weathered version, meticulously hand-painted and detailed by our master model makers to show every detail of the race dirt visible during one of the 3705GT's final pit stops. Limited to just 250 pieces, weathered edition models are currently available to order.
