The artisans at Amalgam Collection today unveiled their latest project: the Ford GT40 at 1:18 scale. This new edition of perfect scale models precisely replicates chassis #1075, as raced at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the hands of Jacky Ickx and Jackie Oliver on the 14th and 15th June 1969. The #6 John Wyer Automotive Engineering car, in its defining blue and orange Gulf Oil livery, took overall victory at Circuit de la Sarthe by just 120 metres (390 feet) after 24 hours of tough competition.
Porsche 917 KH Revealed as Next Amalgam 1:18 Scale Race Weathered Project
The craftspeople at Amalgam Collection today released the details of the most recent addition to their exclusive Race Weathered collection of models, the Porsche 917 KH at 1:18 scale. This new edition is based on chassis number 917-053, as raced at the 24 Hours of Le Mans on the 12th and 13th of June 1971 by Gijs van Lennep and Helmut Marko. The #21 car’s triumph secured a second consecutive victory at Circuit de la Sarthe for Porsche and established a race distance record that would last for the next four decades.
