Development is advancing across our 2025 aircraft projects. We are already in the latter stages of completing a fully liveried version of our Spitfire Mk 1a, with further details to be revealed in the coming weeks. At the same time, we now have the essential reference data to move forward with our 1:16 scale P-51 Mustang, while work continues on the highly anticipated Merlin engine recreation.

Spitfire Mk 1a – ‘QJ-K’ Liveried

At 1:16 scale

We are excited to new reveal that we are already towards the latter stages of a fully liveried version of our celebrated Spitfire Mk 1a, replicating Spitfire K9998, code ‘QJ-K’, flown by Geoffrey Wellum of 92 Squadron in September 1940. Built to order, this model captures every detail of the original—from thousands of rivets to the intricacies of the cockpit and the top end of the Rolls-Royce Merlin engine. Developed using highly accurate digital scan data from aircraft in the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, this model combines digital precision with expert finishing to create a reproduction virtually indistinguishable from the real plane. The first edition model is expected in early 2026. Speak to our sales team to discuss your model.
