Handling instructions video for features and functions of the Lotus 38 model at 1:8 scale. The Lotus 38, designed by Colin Chapman and Len Terry, became the first mid-engine car to win the Indianapolis 500 and marked the height of the “British Invasion” of American racing. Powered by a 500 bhp Ford V8, Jim Clark drove the No. 82 car to a dominant victory in 1965, leading 190 of 200 laps and becoming the first non-American winner of the Indy 500 since 1916. This 1:8 scale model, limited to just 99 pieces, has been meticulously handcrafted with Lotus’s co-operation, using digital scans, original finishes, archive imagery and drawings to ensure complete accuracy. A faithful recreation of Clark’s iconic machine, it captures a landmark moment in motorsport history.
