フェラーリ F430 スクーデリア スパイダー 16M (2008)
Conceived as the follow up to the 360, the Pininfarina-designed F430 was largely aimed at targeting an improvement in aerodynamic efficiency. Although downforce was significantly enhanced over the earlier car, the F430’s looks reflect much of the heritage of the marque. Enzo-inspired lights grace the rear of the Ferrari and the large oval openings in the front bumper recall the legendary styling of the 156 Sharknose Formula One car from the 1960s. The F430 was fitted with a new 4.3 litre V8 petrol engine, capable of producing 483 brake horsepower with a top speed in excess of 196 miles per hour. *The Scuderia (meaning ‘stable’ and used as a term for ‘team’ in the context of motorsport) is a lighter and more powerful variant of the F430, weighing 100kg less and packing an additional 20 brake horsepower. The Scuderia Spider 16M was made to commemorate Ferrari’s sixteenth victory in the 2008 Formula One Constructor’s World Championship and is a convertible version of the 430 Scuderia. 499 examples of this track car for the road were produced and sold out prior to release.
